Steven Bailey Memorial Award |

The Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County is currently accepting nominations for its annual Steven L. Bailey Memorial Award. This award has been presented annually since 1999 to an individual who demonstrates a strong compassion for the youth and families of Huntington County. The nominee should be a person empowered, encouraged and support our youth. During his life, Steve strongly believed everyone has strengths, and he was willing to provide the support needed for them to reach their fullest potential. Steve was truly a youth and family advocate and the recipients of this award have also shared these attributes that Steve lived in his professional and personal life. Past recipients include: Delores Evans, Kent Yost, Mel Hunnicutt, Roger Vezeau, Sara Landrum, Kent Hoopingarnger, Richard Burns, Shelly & Jon Shenkel, Gary Mast, and Bill Stephan. All nominations must meet this following criteria: · Be 18 years of age or older · Be a positive role model through supportive, encouraging, and empowering involvement with youth as a volunteer or through their professional responsibilities. · Have impacted Huntington County youth, particularly those in grades 6 through 12 |
