Safe Place 

Safe Place is a 24/7 crisis intervention program for children and families. If you see the Safe Place logo on any building you can go inside and trained staff will contact us to help you. There is a number to call for all other times of need anytime.

Host Homes
Families helping Families

Volenteer families open their homes to children who need to take a break from their normal family enviroment to help bring that child and their family back together and
open doors to communication.

Providing training and information on helping those at risk of suicide. This program is designed to train our community to be alert to the signs of those with suicidal thoughts and to be able to intervene and help those at risk of contemplating or completing suicide.

      Teen Court
       

      Teen Court is a juvenile crime deterrent program that uses adult and youth volunteers to try non-formal charged offenses in a court room of the juvenile’s peers. An adult judge presides over the hearings, while youth volunteers sit in as jury members to decide appropriate sentences for juvenile offenders that are referred to the Teen Court Program.

On Your Way Up
 

This service is designed to provide young parents with children from 0 to 5 years old with the items they need for their families.  Items include baby clothing, blankets, shoes, among other items.  Most items are gently used, however, the store does have some new items as well.

Conflict Mediation
 

Provides a safe environment to work through conflict in a respectful manner.  Mediators are available to help conversations move along in a non threatening way.  All parties will come to an agreement to help resolve the conflict at hand

      Empowering Parents
       

       G.rowing A.s P.arents is an 8 week series with 2 hour sessions for parents with children from birth to 10.  Discusses developmental stages, setting boundaries, and provides support.

       

      Parent Trap is an 8 week series with 2 hour sessions for parents with children from ages 10 to 18.  Discusses how to say “no”, enhance structure and constancy, and encourage parents to become more assertive.                                                                                                                                                                                                          

       

       

       

      S.O.S
      Students Out of School

       Designed to meet the needs of suspended or expelled students who are middle school or high school level.  Students will have a chance to continue to do their homework and receive grades as we partner closely with the school.  There is also special time set aside to work with the students on life skills so they can return to school and be more successful. 

       

       

       
      Skills For Life
       

       An 8 week series with two hour sessions for ages 13 to 18.  The program is designed to help youth develop necessary life skills to be successful as they maneuver their way to adulthood.  Classes include, how to deal with conflict, stress management, tolerance, self-esteem, job readiness, school, how to set goals, healthy relationships, along with drug education.
